A GREAT NEW ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY

                                                  

Tanner, a beautiful 6 week old Boxador joined our little family a couple weeks ago. Our manager at Dillards brought into work 5 of her 8 puppies; within 2 hours all 5 had been adopted by employees. I got the blonde lab Tanner, Vanessa the little female rut,  Buttercup, Brookelyn chose Suri, and Ethan has Magic and Bandit.

Tanner is a beautiful and very typical puppy, Play, Sleep, Eat, Sleep and does his business.  He gets a treat every time he comes in and has been a good boy.  He is so smart, he knows to sit and shake before his treat. He loves to watch TV and has a long attention span. He moves his little head back and forth watching a car move or people talk.  I think so far his favorite show had been the Oscars.  He was entranced by Adele.

We love our little boy and he sure loves us !

                                 VAN CLIBURN 

                                              

It is with great sadness that I write this blog tonight.  My friend of 49 years, Van Cliburn, passed away on Feb. 27,  2013, of bone cancer at his home in Fort Worth, Texas.

Van and I first met at the Metropolitan House in New York in November 1964.  We sat next to each other at a Gala Evening staring our mutual friend Renata Tebaldi. Joan Sutherland, Elizabeth Schwarzkoff and Lisa Della Casa were also staring .  That night led to a friendship that included concerts, dinners and day with him in New York City.

Not only have I lost a friend the world has lost one of the great music geniuses of the last century. Heaven has gained an angle to accompany the heavenly choir!  Rest In Peace, my dear friend !
