Our Dear, Sweet, Wonderful 14 year old Charlie went to pet heaven about 2 hours ago. He died in Chris' and my arms in the back yard after being in seizures for almost 3 hours. He never came out of them. He is now with our other wonderful pets: Beau Bo our 13 year old Golden who died in 1997, Ito, the most beautiful Berman kitty who passed November 2009 and wonderful Mikey in April of 2010. All our wonderful boys are all together talking and telling stories about us.
I/we have so many wonderful memories of Charlie. I think one of my very favorites is one Chris would tell me. The nights I worked late, he would be on the bed with Chris. I would leave work about 10:10 and about that time Chris said he would jump off the bed, like he knew I was coming home. He would stand at the 2nd floor bedroom window looking out. Five minutes later I would pull into our cul de sac and look up and there was Charlie looking out the window waiting for me. By the time I pulled in the garage and got out of the car and opened the back door--- there was Charlie waiting for me wagging his tail.
When we owned the Bed and Breakfast the guests always loved it when we would bring Charlie out into the house, out of our quarters. He loved to meet the guests and they LOVED meeting Charlie.
He was a gentle, loving, wonderful friend to Chris and me. Never questioning ALWAYS LOVING, and a CONSTANT FRIEND !!!
REST IN PEACE OUR BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL SWEET COMPANION OF 14 YEARS. WE MISS YOU ALREADY !!!!
